Latest Qemu master binaries (and some big news)

As some of you may already know, upcoming Qemu 0.12 will not have kqemu support any longer. Here's the first binaries without kqemu, all targets enabled.

Other major improvement is the new SeaBIOS. This build also has a lot of changes to VGA and Cirrus, so please test it with Win9x guests.

No KQEMU support? And what's about using QEMU on Windows? IMHO this decision is bullshit (sorry for this word) ... Windows has no KVM or any other hypervisor in it's desktop versions ...

0.10.x and 0.11.x still support kqemu but the support has been lacking for a long time now and nobody seems to have any interest to maintain kqemu. I would but lack the necessary skills to do that.

How about porting the necessary parts back from Virtualbox?

How do you get these later versions to work.
I've got 0.10.6 and my qcow2 image works: "qemu -L .\bios -m 386 -hda tinyxp.qcow2" but when I run this with zfeet's 0.11 version and the master version from this thread nothing happens. If I double click the qemu.exe in explorer I get a bios screen come up but obviously it doesn't do anything because it has no settings.

Also the 0.10.6 version, when I run qemu.exe from the command line it gives me all the help info but when I run 0.11. onwards I get nothing.

Any help would be great.

For some reason all the console output goes to stdout.txt and stderr.txt in your Qemu folder.

I kinda have the feeling that kqemu support is being dropped, because many users are switching to 64-bit operating systems and kqemu development has been totally abandoned to a point where it will not be retrofitted for 64-bit operating systems, including Windows Vista and Windows 7.

As for SeaBIOS, I never heard of it before. I've been stuck running Qemu 0.9.0 running Windows 98, because neither Qemu 0.9.1, Qemu 0.10.x nor Qemu 0.11.x worked with Windows 9x guests properly. :(
